Vacation Bible School - Managua church: Our Flagship Church in Managua just held our 3rd Vacation Bible School with great success. Over 250 children entered the doors of our church; 42 were saved, including one mother. Those who accepted Christ will one day see you in heaven. Thank you so much for giving of your finances to make this possible.
Youth Camps: Our Youth camps are one of the highlights of our year. When camp ends we are already counting down the days until the next camp. Because of the financial situation in the country many of our kids have to make a real sacrifice to go. This year we had 56 teens (including 5 from Leon) go to camp, 5 accepted Christ and 3 surrendered to full time ministry. That is why we look forward to camp.
Our Diverse Staff: Yaoska accepted Christ the week our Managua church started. She felt GodŐs call to ministry and joined our staff at the church. We encouraged her to finish her accounting degree, so she did. We are proud of her hard work. She is now the official accountant for our fellowship of churches in Nicaragua.
Wedding Bells Karina came to our church a broken, unwed mother. She started following Christ and growing spiritually. Later, Jose, the father of the baby started coming to church and was saved. Now Jose and Carina are married and enjoying their new life in Christ. My pastoral replacement, Pastor Will, officiated at the wedding.
Because of the great commission,
Brian & Rachael Weed
P.S.
As you can see God is at work, but as the fleet of churches expands so do our needs. We are presently in dire need of an education center. This is a big project that will require big money. This center will house Sunday school rooms, the fellowship office, a copy center, church storage and seminary classes for training nationals. We must begin the building process now. We are finding ourselves in a desperate state. That is why we need your help. This project will cost approximately $250,000. A copy of the building plans can be seen HERE. How much can you give toward this need?
